ChemPoint's Contingency Measures of Impending Strike at West Coast Ports

Dear Valued Customer,

The current labor contract between the West Coast Terminals and the International Longshoremen and Warehouse Union (ILWU) ends on June 30, 2014. There is the potential for a strike if a new contract is not agreed to prior to this date which presents threats not only to importers and exporters, but to carriers, port operators and the global economy in general.

ChemPoint is working with our international and domestic logistics providers and our supplier partners to proactively manage these potential supply chain interruptions. We have available resources to evaluate and discuss the most logical and cost beneficial options to help you prepare for the impending strike.

If you have questions or need more information regarding this update relative to your business, please call your ChemPoint Customer Service Representative, at 1.800.485.9569 or [email protected].

Regards,
